Few gave Wales national rugby union team any chance against Scotland national rugby union team at the Principality Stadium. After conceding 50 points in both opening rounds of the Six Nations Championship and carrying a 13-match losing streak in the competition, the script seemed written.

Yet for 60 minutes, Wales tore that script apart.

They surged out of the blocks with ferocity, shrugging off an early yellow card to Joe Hawkins and hammering Scotland physically at the gain line. Rhys Carre powered over, Sam Costelow kicked with composure, and the hosts stormed into a 17-5 half-time lead.
