Here's what happened in the season 9 finale of Blue Bloods. The long-running CBS cop drama follows the professional and personal lives of the Reagan family who all work in New York City law enforcement. Heading the Reagan clan is patriarch and police commissioner Frank Reagan (played by Tom Selleck) who is also joined by his district attorney daughter Erin (Bridget Moynahan), NYPD detective son Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) and his youngest child Jamie (Will Estes), an NYPD sergeant.
Blue Bloods returned to CBS in 2019 to air its landmark tenth season. Over the course of the show's many seasons, viewers have seen the Reagan family go through many personal losses like the murder of Frank's middle son Joe prior to the series premiere or the offscreen death of Danny's wife Linda between seasons.
