In the world of high school athletics, competition can sometimes get heated, but an incident during a recent relay race in Virginia has raised some serious questions about sportsmanship and safety. Kaelen Tucker, a junior at Brookville High School, had just broken a state record in the 55-metre dash, and was gearing up for the 4x200-metre relay when things took a dangerous turn.
Tucker's quest for victory in the relay was disrupted by what seemed to be a malicious act from her opponent, Alaila Everett of I.C. Norcom High School.
