The Original Danny Tanner: John Posey

Long-time fans of the sitcom "Full House" might find it hard to picture anyone other than Bob Saget as Danny Tanner. Yet, in the original pilot, the role of the Tanner patriarch was played by John Posey. The series follows Danny Tanner as he raises his three daughters after his wife's tragic death, with the help of his brother-in-law Jesse and friend Joey.

Posey, relatively new to the industry at the time, brought a fresh but less seasoned approach to the role. He had built his career on improv comedy, which didn't quite fit the family-oriented, sweet nature of "Full House.
