'Days of Our Lives' Star Camila Banus Leaving Show After 13 Years

Camila Banus, an Emmy-nominated actress, has decided to leave Days of Our Lives after 13 years on the show. Banus played Gabi Hernandez and her final day on set was April 28th. She is leaving the show to start a family with her husband and is open to new opportunities such as working on big budget films.

Banus had asked for a renegotiation of her contract to allow for more time off, but the producers didn't agree. Despite being emotional about leaving the show, she feels that this is a renewing and refreshing time in her life.
