After nearly nine months stranded in space, NASA astronauts Barry "Butch" Wilmore and Sunita "Suni" Williams have finally made their return to Earth. The two astronauts, who had been aboard the International Space Station (ISS) for an extended stay, were greeted with cheers as they splashed down safely off the coast of Florida on March 18.
Originally, Wilmore and Williams were supposed to spend only eight days in space for a routine mission starting in June 2024. However, their return to Earth was delayed after a malfunction with their Boeing Starliner spacecraft, named Calypso.
