Katy Perry's Last Season on American Idol

After seven seasons as a judge on American Idol, Katy Perry announced that she would be leaving the reality singing competition at the end of this season. During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live earlier this year, Perry expressed her love for the show but also her need to explore new opportunities.
