On paper, Blue Bloods looked almost cancellation-proof. Fourteen seasons in, it was still winning its Friday timeslot, drawing an average of about 7.9 million viewers per episode in its final season — enough to make it the fourth most-watched scripted series on U.
And yet, in late 2023, CBS quietly made a decision that would send fans into full-on revolt: Season 14 would be the end, with the series finale “End of Tour” eventually airing on December 13, 2024.
