For a long time, I thought every change I made had to count.
Every haircut.
Every new choice.
Every small decision.
I treated them like they were my last chance to get it right.
I’m in my mid-fifties now, and somewhere along the way, I started feeling like there were no more do-overs. Like whatever I chose next had to fix something.
