Dark Stranger Things fan art envisions a disturbing fate for Max in season 5. Following the intense season 4 finale, which left Max in a coma, the character's future is uncertain. Artist Sonnyfive shared an Instagram post depicting Max being overtaken by Vecna's tendrils and her face partially transforming into the villain played by Jamie Campbell Bower.

While there is no official information about Max's fate in season 5, Sadie Sink was spotted in a cast photo, indicating her return in some capacity. Fans hope that Max's storyline will have a less grim outcome than depicted in the artwork.
