Leslie Charleson, born in Kansas City, Missouri, on February 22, 1945, began her journey into the acting world long before she ever graced the stage of General Hospital. By the early 1960s, Charleson was already making waves in the soap opera industry, first landing a role in A Flame in the Wind in 1964.
But it wasn’t until 1977 that Charleson’s destiny would take a dramatic turn. That year, she joined General Hospital as Monica Quartermaine, forever changing the landscape of daytime television.
