Even Butterfly Clips Look Goth on Billie Eilish

put her spin on a Lizzie McGuire-approved hair accessory. Days after donning an '00s-approved belt popularized by Hot Topic shoppers, Eilish is back to her . On Friday, October 21, Eilish shared an Instagram Story selfie featuring a hair accessory familiar to '00s aficionados. As you can see in the photo below, Eilish gave her official approval of the butterfly clip.

Sporting what looked to be a glossy lip, Eilish wore a single silver butterfly clip in her hair. The close-up image doesn't allow us to see whether additional clips were featured in the hairstyle, but we're definitely loving the look. She appears to have left a few wispy pieces of hair out to frame her face, and used the clip to section back a small portion of her hair. The photo also featured a hint of glitter on her eyelids and showcased her freckles.

Eilish added to her 'fit with a stack of multiple silver necklaces. Although the rest of her look remains out of view, we’re hoping that she kept the Y2K vibes going with a grommet belt.

The photo isn't the first time we've seen Eilish's adorable freckles. Back in August, she posed for a mirror selfie, which showcased the spots along her cheeks and nose. For that particular photo, her face was looking quite rosy, and instead of butterfly clips, she wore her hair pulled back.

You definitely have celebrity-approved options for rocking butterfly clips. You can always go all out with placement like Lizzie McGuire, sport a single accessory like Billie, or take a cue from and choose an oversized option that's scattered throughout your hair. For those with longer hair, you may want to consider 's butterfly clip method, which featured a single colorful clip at the end of one of her wavy strands. Just don't forget to complete your '00s-inspired attire with a crop top and flared jeans!
