As someone who’s followed Young Sheldon since day one (and yes, I still cry every time the Season 4 finale plays), I never expected to be surprised like this. But here we are.

A few weeks ago, fans of a popular Twitch and YouTube creator named “SettingSunset” were left stunned when the faceless, witty gamer behind the mic finally did a face reveal.

That’s when the internet collectively gasped: it was Raegan Revord, the actress behind Young Sheldon’s feisty and lovable Missy Cooper.

But that was just the surface-level surprise. Because along with the reveal came a powerful and personal message—Raegan came out publicly as queer and nonbinary, sharing that they use they/them pronouns and are stepping into a new chapter, both personally and professionally.
