HBO's Official Michael K. Williams Tribute Is the Most Powerful Four Minutes in Television History
Michael Kenneth Williams died on September 6, 2021, in his Brooklyn apartment. He was 54. The cause was an accidental fentanyl overdose — the same crisis he had been documenting in a Vice documentary he was producing about the devastation of synthetic opioids in Black communities.
