After a private Learjet 60 traveling from Austin, Texas, to the Bahamas crashed into a Florida neighborhood on Nov. 1, killing all nine people aboard, confusion quickly spread online. Reports began claiming that beloved singer Lenny Kravitz had been on the doomed flight.

His representative, Carleen Donovan, firmly denied the claims, telling BocaNewsNow the reports were “untrue and incorrect.” The rumor appeared to begin after a female pilot, wrongly linked to the crashed plane, had posted a since-deleted message saying she was scheduled to fly Kravitz on a similar route.
