The Plan for Chaos

When Lance Barber, who played George on Young Sheldon, arrived on set for the filming of his character’s funeral scene, he had an unexpected plan in mind. Known for his sense of humor, Barber had secretly brought a fart machine and a fake mustache, intending to disrupt the somber atmosphere of the scene.

"I was ready to ruin so many takes," Barber admitted in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. "I wanted to add a bit of levity to the day."

Barber’s mischievous plan was all set to go. He imagined the reactions of his co-stars as they walked up to the casket, only to be interrupted by the sounds of the fart machine or the sight of him sporting a ridiculous mustache.
