HBO's Game of Thrones spinoff, Aegon's Conquest, is making progress with the addition of writer Mattson Tomlin. The show, which takes a "back to basics" approach, will explore the conquest of Aegon Targaryen and the unification of the Seven Kingdoms under his rule.
