When production designer Arwel Wyn Jones built the 221B Baker Street set for Sherlock, he made a decision that confused the crew and delighted the producers: he made the space slightly wrong.
The proportions of the main sitting room are not quite correct for the size they appear on screen. Certain angles that should logically connect don't. The geography of the flat, if you try to map it from the episodes, doesn't entirely hold together.
