Camila Banus, the Emmy-nominated actress known for her role as Gabi Hernandez on Days of Our Lives, has decided to leave the show after 13 years. In an interview with The Wrap, Banus confirmed that she is departing in order to start a family with her husband. Her last day on set was April 28, although her final episode won't air for several months.

Banus mentioned the changes that have occurred on Days of Our Lives in recent years, including the show's move from NBC to the Peacock streaming service. She viewed this transition as a sign to begin a new chapter in her life.
