The Lord of the Rings series by J.R.R. Tolkien is renowned for its heroic quests, underdog characters, and epic battles between good and evil. While the series is known for its timeless lessons and evocative moments, it doesn't focus much on romantic relationships.

However, the few couples that do exist in The Lord of the Rings are beautifully written. One particularly surprising couple that pleased fans in The Hobbit is an extra-canon couple. The original trilogy, consisting of The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King, does justice to amazing and heroic canon couples.
