For years, George Pogatsia made his mark playing tough guys: a guest-role on in 2007 and a few appearances on between 2004 and 2008. But on November 1, 2025, the actor became more than a performer of mob scenes — he became a real-life hero.
Pogatsia and his wife were returning home in Jersey City Heights, New Jersey, after dinner when his wife noticed something unusual: a 19-year-old girl and her cousin, appearing intoxicated, with a large man trying to coax the girl to go with him.
Acting fast, Pogatsia’s wife began calling 911 while Pogatsia confronted the scene.
