We talk a lot about the grand gestures — the reunions, the rescues, the loyalty that spans years and miles. But the thing that actually gets me, most days, is something much smaller than that. And I think you know exactly what I mean.
Mine is this: every morning when I sit down with my first cup of tea, my dog walks over, turns around once, and lies down with her back pressed against my feet.
