The San Francisco Lowrider Council's annual Cinco de Mayo Show and Cruise is one of the most important events on the Northern California calendar for reasons that are partly about the cars and partly about the neighborhood.
When the Lowriders roll through Mission Street on Cinco de Mayo, they are rolling through a neighborhood that understands what they represent without needing it explained.
