Alexandra’s Tragic Fate in 1923 Season 2: Death, Devotion, and the Cost to the Dutton Family

From the beginning, Alexandra was written as something rare in the brutal world of 1923: a character driven not by land, power, or bloodline, but by love. By the time the final episode arrives, Alex is no longer just Spencer Dutton’s great love story. She becomes one of the franchise’s most devastating tragedies. In the Season 2 finale, Alex finally reunites with Spencer, gives birth to their son, and then dies after suffering catastrophic frostbite, choosing not to undergo amputation.
