Springboks legend Schalk Burger believes the All Blacks may not need a long rebuild to rediscover their edge after the departure of Scott Robertson, arguing that recent examples in world rugby show how quickly a change of voice can transform a team.
Although Burger admitted he was surprised by Robertson’s sacking, he warned that writing off New Zealand’s ability to rebound would be a mistake.

Speaking on the Boks Unpacked podcast, Burger said the decision to part ways with Robertson caught him off guard, particularly given New Zealand’s results on paper.
