Bookish is the brainchild of Mark Gatiss, longtime co-creator and Mycroft in Sherlock’s universe, now stepping into the spotlight as its main creative force (and star). The series is set in post-war London — 1946 — with Gatiss playing Gabriel Book, an eccentric, cerebral bookshop owner who moonlights as an amateur sleuth.
