When LeBron James entered the NBA in 2003, the hype was unlike anything the league had ever seen. A teenager fresh out of high school, already being labeled “the next Michael Jordan.” Every dunk, every crossover, every glimpse of his game was dissected and compared to the greatest player of all time.
And yet, even at 18, LeBron wanted nothing to do with the comparisons.
"I'm not going to be able to do it the way Jordan did, I can tell you that," LeBron said the night he was drafted.
