It was supposed to be a lighthearted, fun moment, a chance for fans to let loose and enjoy the country music superstar at his best. But when Luke Bryan cracked a joke at his July 17th concert in Greenville, South Carolina, he inadvertently set off a social media firestorm.

In the middle of a performance, Bryan glanced at the crowd and asked with a devilish grin: “Who’s here with their secretary tonight?” Then, leaning into the microphone, he added: “Don’t get caught tonight!” The arena burst into laughter, but what was intended as playful banter took on an entirely different dimension once the joke hit the internet.
