Netflix's The Crown Season 6 Gets Release Window

Streaming giant Netflix has announced the official release window for Season 6 of the hit historical drama, The Crown. Netflix's Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria revealed at the service's virtual Upfront presentation that The Crown Season 6 will premiere this fall. The upcoming season will mark the final chapter of the critically acclaimed series, which has already won seven Golden Globes and 10 Primetime Emmy Awards. 

Season 6 of The Crown is set in the early 2000s and will focus on the royal romance between Prince William (Ed McVey) and Kate Middleton (Meg Bellamy).

The season will explore their relationship starting from their meeting at St. Andrews campus leading up to their marriage in 2011. In order to accurately portray their love story, filming took place at St. Andrews.

The Crown Season 6 will also delve into the final moments of Princess Diana's life, with Elizabeth Debicki taking over the role from Emma Corrin. Imelda Staunton will reprise her role as Queen Elizabeth II, alongside Luther Perry as Prince Harry and Jonathan Pryce as Prince Philip. Other cast members include Lesley Manville, Dominic West, Olivia Williams, Claudia Harrison, Bertie Carvel, Salim Diaw, and Khalid Abdalla. Despite Season 5 facing criticism, it still managed to top the Netflix charts and receive four Golden Globe nominations. The Crown Season 6 promises to continue the captivating storytelling of the series.
