In the first Test against England in Dunedin, All Blacks’ seasoned scrum-half TJ Perenara faced another setback. The 32-year-old's knee injury, a result of skipper Scott Barrett falling on him during a ruck, sidelined him once more. This injury was a harsh blow, especially since it was Perenara’s first Test in 20 months after recovering from a ruptured Achilles during the 2022 tour.
Despite the grim news, head coach Scott Robertson remains optimistic about Perenara’s return for the Rugby Championship next month.
