Showrunner Erica Messer recently revealed that Voit will play a (twisted) role in Season 2 as a resource for the team. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Messer likened Voit to their own version of Hannibal Lecter, stating that they would seek his help when it comes to matters regarding Gold Star.

Additionally, Messer teased some relationship drama that will unfold in the upcoming season. There is a potential love triangle between Penelope (Kirsten Vangsness), Alvez (Adam Rodriguez), and Tyler (Ryan-James Hatanaka). With Alvez now in the know, Messer mentioned to Variety that there could be a more prominent triangle among the team members' relationships, explaining that they did not want to deny Garcia and Tyler the bond they have developed because it feels unique and genuine.
