🎬 What’s really going on with Trudy’s “exit”

Rumors recently spread across social media claiming that Trudy Platt — the long-time desk sergeant played by Amy Morton — was leaving the show for good. Those claims featured a fake “farewell” statement attributed to Morton, sparking panic and sadness among many fans.

In reality, there is from either the show’s producers or Morton herself. As of Season 13, she remains listed among the main cast on Chicago P.D.

Though a dramatic crossover event earlier in 2025 placed Trudy’s life in danger, showrunners later clarified that her apparent “death” was a red herring — she survived the ordeal.
