The rain was pounding so hard on the windshield that it felt like someone had pulled a grey curtain across the entire highway. Wipers swung frantically, visibility dropped to almost nothing, and traffic slowed to a crawl. In the middle of it all, dozens of cars suddenly lit up with flashing hazard lights — a chaotic sea of blinking amber.
Lara, a young driver already nervous in bad weather, gripped the wheel tighter.
“They’re all flashing… does that mean they’ve stopped? Are they moving? What am I supposed to do?”
