On a gray Monday morning, Emma was already losing.
Late for work, coffee in one hand, keys in the other, she jumped into her car and told herself the same lie we all use:
“I’ll drive carefully. I just don’t have time to think about the rules today.”
Ten minutes later, she was sitting on the shoulder with blue lights flashing in her rear-view mirror.
