Now the Official Line Says It Isn’t

For a long time, a lot of fans filed The Madison under one mental category: future Yellowstone extension. That assumption did not come out of nowhere. The show was Montana-set, Taylor Sheridan-created, and once floated in the same franchise conversation as other post-Yellowstone projects.

But the public line has now shifted in a much clearer direction. Recent coverage from Page Six, Cosmopolitan, and People all says the same thing: The Madison is not part of the Yellowstone universe.

That is why this is more than a technical correction.
