Schafer, a young soldier killed in World War II — a man forgotten by many, but whose memory is finally coming home. 

A Soldier Lost to History

In 1944, Sgt. Schafer was fighting with the 90th Infantry Division in Germany. On December 10, during a fierce engagement near Dillingen, he was killed by enemy fire while attempting to aid a wounded comrade.
