A Chance Encounter
Jaina, a dedicated member of Cats of San Bernardino, first spotted Apollo in a dire state. His fur was matted, and a severe eye infection left him nearly blind. "I don't think he'd ever had any contact with humans at all," Jaina recalled. "He was very scared.
The Struggle to Rescue
Approaching Apollo proved challenging. His heightened senses made him wary of any movement, causing him to retreat at the slightest hint of danger.
