Shaquille O’Neal, former NBA star and Hall of Famer, used Michael Jordan and Dennis Rodman as an example to send a message to his then-Lakers teammate Kobe Bryant in his book Shaq Talks Back. He explained that in order for two superstars to coexist, one has to bow down and accept their role on the team.

Shaq’s relationship with Kobe was toxic due to a power struggle, which led to him leaving the Lakers. In Miami, he changed his approach and became a secondary option to Dwyane Wade, leading to success and winning his fourth championship.
