"Law & Order: SVU" actress Jamie Gray Hyder, who played Detective Kat Tamin, was forced to leave the series ahead of its 23rd season premiere. The reason for her departure remains unknown. In a statement on Twitter, Hyder expressed disappointment and noted that the decision was made above her pay grade.

Later, in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, she acknowledged that show business decisions often have nothing to do with the performer. As a result, it's unlikely that Hyder will return to "Law & Order: SVU" in the future.
