Running out of parchment paper to line bamboo steamers when steaming frozen dumplings can be a problem. However, there is a solution - using leafy vegetables as a natural steamer liner. Vegetables like cabbage, gai lan leaves, or bok choy leaves can be used at the bottom of the steamer to prevent sticking.

Alternatively, thinly sliced carrots can be used as a bed for each dumpling. The vegetables will cook alongside the dumplings, adding flavor and fiber to the meal. This technique not only reduces waste but also adds a veggie twist to your dumpling experience.
