Lucas Horton of Days of Our Lives gets drunk and has an encounter with his supposedly dead son Will. Fans are excited about Will's return, but Lucas rejects the idea that he's talking to Will's ghost and thinks it's all in his mind or God is messing with him. Lucas' recent boozing has been quite funny, but some viewers relate to his struggle with addiction.
The new head writer, Ron Carlivati, clearly sparks to Lucas, and the storyline goes in a very surprising and rewarding direction.
