1923 has added its first new cast member for season 2. The Paramount+ show is both a spinoff and a prequel to the smash hit neo-western show Yellowstone. Set in the titular year, the show follows the trials and tribulations of a generation of the Dutton family between the timelines of the earlier prequel 1883 and the flagship show, with a star-studded cast that includes Helen Mirren, Harrison Ford, Jerome Flynn, Isabel May, Brian Geraghty, and Timothy Dalton.

Per Deadline, Jennifer Carpenter will be joining the cast of 1923 season 2. She will be playing a recurring role in the new season as Mamie Fossett.
